Virus Spider Ecology

Ro has an imaginary friend named Spidey who is a virus spider.  Well, actually, Spidey isn't imaginary. He's just as small as a virus, and so no one can actually see him.  He has two million brothers.  He doesn’t have sisters, but he has cousins that are girls.

Virus spiders are born from an egg sac that actually is inside of the mother's body.  When Spidey and all of his brothers were born, their parents died to give all of their offspring their virus spider powers.  Spidey's dad owned a dojo that Ro trains at sometimes and Spidey took over the dojo when his dad died.

Virus spider can move through people's bodies and eat all of the bad viruses and bacteria that make people sick.  They also eat trash and scraps of paper.  They are very civilized and prefer to eat on top of the package savers people get when they order pizzas in to go boxes.

Virus spiders seem to be able to travel anywhere you need them in an instant.  Ro says that Spidey's family originated from Pinnacles National Park and then found their way to Fresno a few years ago.  Whenever Spidey travels with Ro, it's while Spidey is doing cleanup through his body.  He also hitches rides in Ro's nose if Ro has to wear a mask when he goes outside.  There have been multiple times when we travel and Spidey almost magically appears when Ro is bored.  Every now and then, Spidey will use a piece of dirt to travel through air

Every now and then Ro discovers new details on virus spiders and these are just notes since Spidey first appeared about a year ago. I will continue to report new findings as we continue “observing“ Spidey.

  1. Your recent writing has become more error free. Did you get a new keyboard or just less stress?

I talked with J & J a week or two ago, they said, you'd been doing something with the Sheriff's Office, but I know how translation sometimes fail. They also said, no report of anything had been received from Ev.

How have things been going with the fires and Pandemic? I haven't been back to CA since Jan, but my weight's gone down from ~235# to ~201# since ~05July2020. It came off rapidly at first, but then slowed.

I sent a msg to you for your B-Day. Don't know if you got it, but not important. Love you, take care, --Dad

March Update

B and I got our second Pfizer shots recently.  It's hard to tell if we're having side effects or psychosomatic symptoms.  After my first shot, I had some shortness of breath overnight, I was tired, I had bad allergies, my arm was super sore and I had weird upper back pain the next day.  After the second, I made sure to go running and that seemed to take care of the symptoms for the first night and next day.  I made the mistake of having a drink, thinking I was in the clear, but then I had random cold sweats and waves of pain in my head and back overnight with weird dreams about the pain and how it wouldn't go away until I got more shots.  Eventually, everything went away as if nothing ever happened.  B got his second shot last Friday and felt a bit of tiredness, but he went on a forty-five mile bike ride this morning -- the first group ride his bike gang has gone on since COVID started shutting things down -- and he seems fine now.  He's more worried a...

I hope you’ve had a Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas! Ours was pretty good.  Quick backtrack to Thanksgiving: We just did a small early dinner in Gramma Wanda’s backyard. It was warn and we ended up taking jackets off as well as ate inside. Torstein came with us to hang out with Sophie to be weirdo’s together. Ro also lost both of his front teeth and another bottom tooth that week. On a few Saturdays around that time, Ro went to a sort of Nasa coding camp at Fresno State since we had a break from golf. He ended being sick for two out of the three sessions, but he enjoyed the content. I also got a free community library card at the Fresno State library (job perk) and spent a lot of time knitting at Collect Coffee. Ro said he didn’t like spending a lot of time away from home though. He’s registered for baseball in spring, will be doing golf all year, and planning on tennis in summer (no refunds on that one for rain though the other two are flexible/flat rate).  Ro had a winter show at his school. The cafeteri...

End of June and Beginning of July

The car radio has been working fine. But then B accidentally knocked my mounted microphone behind the dashboard with the sun shade. The Jeep was due for an oil change so I took time yesterday morning to do the oil change, and then take apart the center panel to fish everything back where it needs to be. I remounted the microphone in a new spot where it may be less affected, but maybe I'll try to get better mounting tape to keep it in place. Anna said the sound wasn't affected by it being in the dash, but I feel like it works better when it's out.  B and I made it out for a trip at the end of June to see Shakira in San Francisco. She played a really good show. There were four little girls that were sitting behind us who knew the words to many of her Spanish songs and it was adorable to have that chorus behind us. She had quite a few props like a giant inflatable wolf for her encore. I realized that I know more of her music in Spanish than English, but of course she sang anyt...
