Quick August Update

I know it’s been awhile.  Ro started school and going back to daycare this week. He came come yesterday with the sniffles, had a rough night sleeping, and then woke up this morning with a fever. B and Ro took tests this morning to make sure it isn’t something to quarantine, and I have a test scheduled for tomorrow. Both B and I stayed home and have been pretty much in quarantine just in case. We probably won’t be going back to work until Tuesday. Ro is okay so far. He had one fever that went to 102 but went down quickly with Tylenol.  At least it happened on a Friday and hopefully we’ll be back in business on Monday.

I love you and miss you.

    1. Thanks. B and I went down with symptoms. We’re still waiting for results. Ro is still sick but says he feels a lot better. He’s enjoying watching any show he wants all day.

    2. We don’t have the ‘Rona! All of our tests came out negative. Ro is almost back to normal, but still coughing so we’re keeping him home a little bit longer. I had fevers yesterday and today is B’s day for fevers. Other than that, things are looking up!

  2. It's been awhile since you last posted. I realize, I'm probably the only one who reads this, but it's the only thing I have to keep up, so please don't forget. I hope, you're all okay and that's not the reason.

End of June and Beginning of July

The car radio has been working fine. But then B accidentally knocked my mounted microphone behind the dashboard with the sun shade. The Jeep was due for an oil change so I took time yesterday morning to do the oil change, and then take apart the center panel to fish everything back where it needs to be. I remounted the microphone in a new spot where it may be less affected, but maybe I'll try to get better mounting tape to keep it in place. Anna said the sound wasn't affected by it being in the dash, but I feel like it works better when it's out.  B and I made it out for a trip at the end of June to see Shakira in San Francisco. She played a really good show. There were four little girls that were sitting behind us who knew the words to many of her Spanish songs and it was adorable to have that chorus behind us. She had quite a few props like a giant inflatable wolf for her encore. I realized that I know more of her music in Spanish than English, but of course she sang anyt...

May Update

It's June 1st! So it's been awhile. I feel like this month has passed by, but I don't remember what we did. I think I mentioned Bookfest 2025 in my last post so I'll look through my calendar and figure out what I did since then.  The weather has been pretty decent all month up until last week after Memorial Day weekend. I set up a card table in the garage one day to be able to work from home and let Ro play with his remote control batmobile and skateboard across the street. Tor was out with us and mostly stuck around.    Work from home setup complete with desk muppet B and Ro have been checking out churches because Ro has starting wondering what religions are out there. B hasn't been making me go to the Christian ones (or any of them really...because I don't want to). Ro seems to have this idea that the Christian ones don't have as much of an emphasis of the "Do this or you'll go to Hell" aspect. He's in for a rude awakening. Mom has plans...

March Update

B and I got our second Pfizer shots recently.  It's hard to tell if we're having side effects or psychosomatic symptoms.  After my first shot, I had some shortness of breath overnight, I was tired, I had bad allergies, my arm was super sore and I had weird upper back pain the next day.  After the second, I made sure to go running and that seemed to take care of the symptoms for the first night and next day.  I made the mistake of having a drink, thinking I was in the clear, but then I had random cold sweats and waves of pain in my head and back overnight with weird dreams about the pain and how it wouldn't go away until I got more shots.  Eventually, everything went away as if nothing ever happened.  B got his second shot last Friday and felt a bit of tiredness, but he went on a forty-five mile bike ride this morning -- the first group ride his bike gang has gone on since COVID started shutting things down -- and he seems fine now.  He's more worried a...
